Revit Millwork Profiles - Wall Base or Baseboard families
Wall base moulding is applied around the perimeter of a room along a finished floor. It is also called baseboard, mop board or skirting. It can be used in combination with shoe moulding to form a two-member base.
The numbers in the profiles indicate the cutter number used by the mill in creating the millwork. For wall bases, the first three digits indicate the approximate height of the base. For example, a number beginning in 350 indicates the baseboard is about 3.50 inches high.
How to make Wall Base Molding in Revit:
To create wall base molding, use the Wall Sweep tool.
In a 3D or elevation view, click Architecture tab > Build panel > Wall drop-down > Wall: Sweep.
On the Properties palette, click Edit Type, or click Modify | Place Sweep tab > Properties panel > Type Properties.
In the Type Properties dialog, for Profile, select the desired Wall Base Molding profile type.
Click Modify | Place Wall Sweep > Placement panel, and select the orientation of the wall sweep: Horizontal.
Place the cursor over the wall to highlight the wall sweep location. Click to place the wall sweep.
